Con il weekend del Labor Day in corso si conclude l'estate cinematografica 2013, il box office del Mercato Nord Americano segna un nuovo record con 4.75 miliardi di dollari (+10,5% rispetto al 2012) e 582 milioni di biglietti venduti (+7,75% rispetto al 2012), come "admissions"  si tratta del miglior risultato dal 2007.
 

Nell'ultimo week-end è il film dei One Direction 'This Is Us' a trionfare con $17m e un estimates di $20.5m nei 4 giorni. 'Pacific Rim' dopo 8 settimane riesce a superare i $100m, mentre 'World War Z' supera i $200m grazie al mega/tickets con 'Star trek Into Darkness'.
