Gli spettatori della serie evento Game of Thrones saranno felicissimi di questa news, i dieci episodi della Terza Stagione in onda su HBO dal 31 Marzo 2012 avranno una durata maggiore, anzichè i classici 52 minuti ogni episodio avrà 10 minuti in più di sangue, sesso, politica e tradimenti; inoltre l'episodio finale avrà una durata ancora maggiore...quest'ultima succosa notizia deve però essere ancora sottoposta all'approvazione della HBO.
David Benioff e Dan Weiss sono in fase di adattamento all'incirca nella prima metà del George R.R. Martin terzo romanzo della serie "A Song of Ice e Fire",“A Storm of Swords.”
